Legal brief on bankruptcy and workers’ compensation
Scope of work - To research the relevant case law, statutes and other publications across specific federal circuit courts, bankruptcy courts and federal appellate courts to determine whether the workers’ compensation laws exempted a received award from creditors in bankruptcy.
Task performed - Our team researched the required courts to obtain relevant cases and rulings and summarized the applicable case law. We monitored secondary publications for any updates in the law and statutes. Lawwave attorneys wrote detailed briefs on case law evidence and an executive summary synthesizing our findings. The final product was reviewed for accuracy by a U.S. legal trainer.
Result - The memo was utilized by attorneys in U.S. Supreme Court proceedings. The nationally recognized law firm reduced their costs by 30% and delivered within their deadline.
